Inspired by a rich heritage, NBCUniversal has the experience, creativity and leadership to shape the future of media and technology.
The above was taken from the Comcast web site - it's the banner on the "Our Company" page. Think for a minute about the definition of impartiality - equal treatment of all rivals or disputants; fairness: entries had to be submitted under a pseudonym to ensure impartiality in the judging process - and ask yourself if an employee of NBC (owned by Comcast) can possibly be impartial and keep his job, knowing that Trump has been a boon to all of TV for the last several months.
If it were to be done properly, the debate moderator would be asking the debaters to enunciate their positions on critical issues and then, let the audience draw conclusions related to their responses. Lester Holt did not demonstrate any such impartiality in the "debate" (as the media referred to the Presidential Forum relating to military matters on Sept. 25). It will be interesting to see if he has learned anything since then.
Remember, the ONLY thing that the networks, with the possible exception of PBS, care about is selling advertising. Trump has been their meal ticket. In an age of money above all else, will the networks rise above our friends from Wall Street - as clearly demonstrated in previous posts - or will they continue to feed the beast?
